Moon salamander awakes for at the rise of each full moon. The animals gather to have their fortunes told. Moon salamander has an offbeat sense of humor and often tells the animals their prosperous fortunes, in addition to fictitious misfortunes.

Two Headed Giraffe
"Please tell us our good fortune."

Moon Salamander
"Two heads and one tail."
"Double happiness for you."

Two Headed Giraffe
"Yes, we already know that."
"Can you tell us anything else?"

Moon Salamander
"Are the confirmations strong?"
"Beware, of jealousy."
"O, how hast thou with jealousy infected."
"It spills itself in fearing to be split."

The full moon sets and moon salamander disappears into the night.

Found pieces of wood are my favorite material to paint on. I found this wood cutting board down the street from where I live. I especially like all the cracks along the top and bottom.
