There are two paintings under this one. The original painting was a collage that used hot glue and some cardboard. I wasn't happy with it and removed the collage material, but much of the hot glue remained adhered to the wood. You can see the hot glue in several places. I was really happy with the simplicity and primitive feel of this painting. I always have a tendency to add more color and complexity, but resisted the temptation with this one.
When you develop an engineering project, each prototype or experimental build gets a revision number (X0, X1, X2, etc.). Once the design goes into production, it switches to Rev A, B, C, etc. At the time of this painting, I was working on an engineering project that was at Revision X2, and since the painting was on it's 3rd iteration, it seemed like a good title. I consider everything I do to be experimental, so X2 was more appropriate that calling it Rev C.
