The Forgotten Artist
2006 - 11"x13" Acrylic, colored pencil, charcoal, on wood.
(Private Collection - Pennsylvania)

This painting was inspired by a trip to Anza Borrego National Park, California. It's very colorful there in April/May with all the blooming flowers, and there's some great primitive/rock art there too. The artwork of the American Indians is brilliant. "The Forgotten Artist" is the name of a book I have about American Indian art in Anza Borrego. It's written by Manfred Knaak. It seemed like a good name for this painting.
