Red Sail
2005 - 18"x24"Oil pastel on paper.
(Available - $125 USD)

I didn't have any preconceived ideas about drawing a sail boat. The image just evolved. I was experimenting with two different sets of oil pastels. The left side, including sail boat, is Senelier. The right side in yellows/red/orange was my original set of Crayola. I actaully like each type for different reasons. Senelier has a nice smooth, creamy feel, and richer color. The Crayola have a harder feel, more waxy, and colors are more like traditional crayons. I guess I like them because it reminds me of childhood & they are just real basic.
